NOLA Bound

In just a few days, I will be joining the Kansas State University Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow club to one of my favorite conferences of the year—Ag Media Summit.

AMS is the largest conference for those in agricultural communications—and one of my new annual vacations. This year the conference will be held in New Orleans.

New Orlean's famous French Quarter

AMS is a joint effort by the American Agricultural Editors’ Association, the Livestock Publications Council and the American Business Media Agri-Council. This conference of ag communicators offers professionals an opportunity to get together and share tricks of the trade. Furthermore, it gives ACT members an opportunity to network with over 600 professionals in the industry.

There are lots of opportunities to network at the trade show (shown above) as well as banquets, dinners, presentations, and social hours. Every student majoring in agricultural communications should make a point to be here before graduation!

I am very excited for my upcoming trip, and if any readers are attending AMS, please let me know so we can get in touch during the conference. I plan to keep updates through out the conference about the goings-on in the agricultural communications world with lots of pictures.
