Kiddie Barnyard – Ag Fest

With Ag Fest underway, Sigma Alpha participated in Kiddie Barnyard this morning. Weber arena was filled with elementary students eager to learn about agriculture. There were many booths, from roping a hay steer, barrel racing on stick horses, to learning which animal each specific food came from.

The Sigma Alpha ladies taught the children about the Earth and made Circles of Earth bracelets. These bracelets included a clear bead signifying people, green bead signifying plants and soil, red bead for daytime, black bead for nighttime, white bead for air and yellow bead for sun.

This was enjoyable not only for the students, but also for us ladies. It was fun to teach young minds about agriculture and answer the any questions they had. I am looking forward to participating in this wonderful event again next year!
