Fall isn’t the only thing rolling into campus…the all-university career fair will be held in Bramlage Colesium on Tuesday, September 24th and Wednesday, September 25th. With over 200 companies in attendance, this is an event you don’t want to miss! During Sigma Alpha chapter last week, we had a representative from Career and Employment Services discuss tips for resumes and assisted us in creating our own personal introduction so that we will be prepared when we meet with future employers.
Career fairs are a great way to meet with prospective employers, discuss potential internship opportunities, and get a better understanding of what field you are interested in. A lot of companies will host next day interviews with the applicants to get to know you better and see where you would fit best in their company. I landed my internship this past summer from attending a career fair and partaking in next day interviews, so I strongly recommend attending if you are on the internship or job hunt! This past summer I had the opportunity to intern with Cargill as an Operations intern, and just recently accepted an internship position for this summer as an Agricultural intern with Cargill.
Put on your best, be confident, and don’t forget your smile! 🙂
