The Struggle is Real

As spring weather becomes more frequent and the semester nears the end, the desire to go to school shrinks. When it is sunny and 75, I would rather do anything, I mean anything, than go sit in a classroom. Unfortunately, these are some of the sacrifices we as students have to make each day we wake up. That is why I focus on 4 reasons to go to class, which are:

  1. School sucks, but the struggle is worth it. As the job market continues to become more competitive it is beneficial to stick it out and get that diploma.
  2. The semester is almost over. With about a month and a half left I can finally see the light. It is time to put my head down and grind it out.
  3. I pay too much to skip. K-State may not be the most expensive college out there, but it isn’t cheap either.
  4. Knowledge is power. I learn a lot more from going to class than from just reading a textbook, or cramming material before the test (I know I’m not the only one who crams).

I’m sure that I am not the only one who is on the struggle bus this time of year. It can become pretty easy to convince yourself not to go to class. There are always a thousand reasons not to go to class on a beautiful spring day. Yet each day I wake up and make that walk to class and remember that it is not so bad. So, even if you are one struggling this time of year just think of the reasons you continue to go to class and grind it out.
