Hi, I’m Emily Lingenfelter. I’m majoring in agronomy with a minor in agricultural economics and will be graduating in May of 2015. Growing up on a farm in a very small rural area outside of Gridley, Kansas, agriculture has always played a large role in my life. This is only my second semester at Kansas State, as it took being away from home and the farm to realize where my passion lies, in agriculture. I transferred here from The University of Kansas and joined Sigma Alpha in the spring of 2013. I have found in it a family full of wonderful sisters who have so much to offer the agriculture industry and each other through their individual experiences. Being a part of Sigma Alpha has been a great confirmation of my educational endeavor; I see on a daily basis the type of women I will be working with post graduation and I couldn’t be anymore excited about the future!
